I am a watercolor artist and book illustrator. What fascinates me about watercolor is its ability to speak through subtle shades and contrasts - to be at once delicate and transparent, vivid and emotional, quiet or unexpectedly bold.
At the heart of my work are emotions, images, and metaphors. I am less interested in telling a story than in creating a space for personal interpretation, where each viewer can discover their own meaning, memory, or feeling. I believe that a good painting always enters into a dialogue with its viewer - and I am especially drawn to works in which this conversation is not immediately apparent, but gradually unfolds and continues within us.
